If they aren’t at a private school than the uniform was to appeal to anime/mangaĤ) …speaking of anime/manga boy did the climax go full DBZĥ) and finally, I’m very confused about the target audience because if it’s for young teens there were at least 3 f-bombs… which isn’t young teen/preteen appropriate. There would be no facial piercings or shaved hair cuts. So a lot of my sympathy was for the wrong character.Ģ) the texting bothered me because kids have smart phones nowadays and most kids type in complete sentencesģ) if Mandy and co are going to a private school (because uniforms) the artist/writer has no idea how strict schools are on uniform adherence.

I get it was to show growth and stuff so normally I’m okay with that but Starfire was a really nice and caring mom so if anything I felt bad for her for having a daughter as bratty as Mandy. That said, even if I was the target audience I’ve got this to say:ġ) Mandy is an insufferable brat for the first 2/3rds. I’m not the target audience of the book and thumbing through it it’s clearly meant for young girls demographic with how cliche and fanfic-y it is.
